A local car enthusiast has turned a hearse into a special Halloween attraction.

Merrick resident Alan Stewart filled his 1960 Cadillac hearse, which he drives through the Metropolitan area, with Halloween decorations and scary surprises. Stewart has been driving his Halloween hearse for two years.

"When people come by and say 'Wow! I've never seen anything like this before,' it's amazing," says Stewart. "That's a reward enough for me."

Stewart says he goes through more than 70 batteries to keep all his Halloween decorations powered.
