Coram park littered with construction debris

A Suffolk lawmaker is outraged by the amount of construction debris found littered all across a park in Coram.

Legislator Kara Hahn says items such as concrete, wood, vinyl siding and glass can all be found scattered throughout Tanglewood Park. She says it gets even worse deeper into the wooded areas of the park, with wooden planks that have nails sticking out found all over the place.

"It's so disgusting to me that someone would bring their waste here," says Hahn.

Hahn worries that the debris may be contaminating the soil in the park.

Town of Brookhaven officials say they will start an investigation into the dumping and begin cleaning up the area.
