Friday snow creates messy morning commute

An overnight storm brought snow to Long Island.

News 12 Long Island's Erin Colton was in Mobile 12 getting a look at the road conditions.

On the South Shore of Nassau County, about an inch of snow covered the roads. Most main roads remained clear during the morning rush hour, with some snow covering side streets.

Snow totals were 1 to 2 inches in Nassau County. Eastern Suffolk County saw 3 to 4 inches.

News 12 Long Island is tracking a winter storm that could bring more than 6 inches of snow out east Saturday.
