Police say a dog was shot during a burglary in South Huntington Thursday.
The incident happened at a home on Magerus Street around 8:30 p.m.
Officials say the suspects fired a shot into a bedroom, hitting the dog.
News 12 has learned no one else was hurt and no arrests have been made.
The dog is expected to survive.
