Woman accused of DWI in crash that injured passenger

A woman was arrested Sunday for allegedly driving while intoxicated after police say she crashed into a tree, leaving her passenger seriously injured.

Police say Paige Reddy crashed her Toyota Prius into a tree on Mark Tree Road around 3:30 a.m.

Her passenger, Matthew Borkowski, of Centereach, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with critical injuries.

Reddy was treated for injuries that are not life-threatening.

She will be arraigned on a drunken driving charge at a later date.
