Police: Man armed with shotgun robbed Westbury gas station

Police are searching for the suspect who robbed a gas station in Westbury last night.

According to police, the suspect walked into the Exxon gas station on Old Country Road and demanded cash from the clerk with what appeared to be a shotgun.

The victim complied and put cash into a grey knit hat, which was brought in by the suspect.

Police say the suspect fled the scene on foot north out of the parking lot and then westbound onto Myrtle Avenue.

No one was hurt during the incident.

The robbery comes a week after a masked man robbed 7-Eleven in Uniondale with a shotgun.

There is no word whether it could be the same guy.
