Police search for 3 men behind Elmont home invasion
Police are searching for three men behind a home invasion in Elmont.
The incident happened on Frick Street around 2 a.m. Thursday.
Authorities say the men, one armed with a knife, broke into the home through a basement window and entered the bedroom of an older couple. One of the suspects then allegedly held down one of the homeowners while the others ransacked the room.
Victim Eugene Roger, who is a singer in the famous Haitian band "Tabou Combo," says his hand was injured during the scuffle.
Police say the home invaders were only able to find $60. As they left through the front door, the suspects tripped the home alarm.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the home invasion to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
