SPCA: Cat mutilated, left outside family’s home

Authorities are searching for a person who mutilated a veteran's cat then left it outside the family's Farmingville home.

The Suffolk SPCA believes the 13-year-old cat, named Uma, was tortured and killed near Martin Place last week.

A $2,000 reward is being offered to find whoever did it.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Suffolk SPCA at 631-382-7722.
