Police say a pedestrian was struck and injured in Copiague.
According to police, the person was hit by an SUV around 8:40 p.m. while trying to cross Dixon Avenue near Molloy Street.
A church festival was going on nearby.
Police say the victim was not seriously injured, and the driver remained at the scene.
There are no charges at this time.
