Recent power outages in Long Beach affect local businesses

It's been hot a stretch of summer weather across Long Island and with periods without power, it's been extra grueling in Long Beach.

News 12 Long Island has learned there have been 20 separate outages over the past month in Long Beach, with the most recent one last night.

Some restaurant owners tell News 12 they have had enough, especially with the area being busy during the summer season.

Restaurant managers say they've been without power 13 or 14 times in the past two and a half weeks.

PSEG officials told News 12 transformer work would be done today to fix the problems.

In addition, PSEG says homeowners can file a claim for any losses or damages.
