Firefighters contain blaze at East Islip pet store

A fire broke out in an East Islip pet store and dog grooming facility, according to officials.



The fire started at Pooch Pad on Carlton Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Thursday.



Firefighters from the East Islip and Islip Terrace fire departments battled the blaze, which is now under control.



There are no reports of any pets or people injured.



So far, there is no word on what caused the fire.
