Beaches see huge crowds amid sizzling heat

Long Islanders flocked to the beaches Saturday with the goal of staying cool as temperatures sizzled at over 90 degrees.

News 12 Long Island was at Pike's Beach in Westhampton where beachgoers enjoyed the sun and the surf.

"This is paradise, beautiful," said Arleen Weiser, of East Meadow. "What can I say? It's the place to be."

Temperatures are expected to stay in the 90s for the next few days.
