New agreement reached to bring more Uber cars to Southampton

A new agreement will bring more Uber cars to the Town of Southampton.

In April, the Southampton Town Board voted to regulate Uber drivers, charging them fees of $1,000.

Recently, Uber drivers have been getting tickets for driving without the proper permits.

According to Newsday, the Uber company will pick up $750 of the license fee to operate in Southampton.

Uber drivers will only pay the remaining $250.
