Police: Wading River Subway robbed at knifepoint a second time

Police say a Wading River Subway restaurant has been robbed at knifepoint for the second time in less than a week.

According to police, a man with a knife walked into the Subway on Route 25A, demanded money and took off with cash around 9 p.m. Monday.

Last Wednesday, police say the same Subway was also robbed by a man with a knife.

There is no word if the same man is behind both robberies.

Police say in both cases, the suspect was white about 6 feet tall and wore a dark outfit with gloves and sunglasses.

Anyone with information is asked to call Riverhead Police at 631-727-4500.
