A World War II veteran was honored Monday in Eatons Neck this July Fourth.
Former Fire Chief Walter Roy Beach was the grand marshal in the hamlet's 45th annual Independence Day parade.
In addition to more than 60 years of volunteer service, Beach fought in World War ll and Korea.
Beach was 17 years old during the invasion of Normandy.
"I'm happy I made 90," Beach said. "I have a large family. I have 22 (people) at my house right now. I have 11 grandchildren and five of my own."
