A hardcore Islanders fan from Glen Cove missed the Nassau Coliseum so much, he decided to build one in his backyard.
Frank DeLuca spend about $9,000 to build a small-scale replica of the coliseum, which includes Stanley Cup banners, retired jerseys and advertisements on the rink boards.
The mini-coliseum does not have ice, but is a great place for neighborhood kids to play a pick-up game.
"I feel like I've brought [the Nassau Coliseum] back to life here in my backyard," said DeLuca.
