Police responded to a call for a suspicious item found in Farmingville around 8:45 a.m.
According to police, it was determined that there was nothing inside and there was no threat.
The eastbound side of Mooney Pond Road was closed between Rose Place and Pinehurst Court.
There is no word on what the item was.
The arson squad is investigating.
