Men assault clerk during robbery at North Merrick auto shop

Police are searching for three suspects in connection to a violent robbery in North Merrick.



Police say one suspect pretended to shop for cars while two other men assaulted a clerk at Jerusalem Auto on Jerusalem Avenue on Tuesday night.



Detectives say the suspects wore masks and were armed with a handgun when they took cash, a watch and wallet from the worker.



Police believe a red car was also involved in the robbery.
