Woman accused of assaulting officer during traffic stop

A Bay Shore woman allegedly assaulted two police officers during a traffic stop in Westbury Sunday night, according to authorities.

The officers pulled over Arlene Tucker-Bryant, 21, on Fulton Street around 9:30 p.m., but she allegedly closed a window on one officer's arm and drove in reverse, forcing the other to jump out of the way.

Police arrested Tucker-Bryant on Merrick Avenue.

Both officers were taken to the hospital for treatment.
