Police: Serial knifepoint robber eyed in Queens holdup

NYPD officers believe the man wanted for 17 knifepoint robberies across Long Island has struck again, this time in Queens.

Police say the suspect walked into a Forest Hills Subway restaurant around 9 p.m. Friday, pulled out a knife and stole more than $300 from the register.

As News 12 reported, another Subway restaurant in Bayside was robbed on Wednesday.

Police believe the suspect is also behind three other Queens robberies last month. In total, police believe the man has been linked to 22 robberies.

City police are now working with police on Long Island to try and catch the suspect.

Police have called the suspect "a desperate, dangerous criminal" who uses the same tactics in his burglaries. Last month, the FBI joined the case to assist local departments, authorities say.
