Police say a UPS package triggered a scare at the Ronkonkoma train station this afternoon.

Police closed off the area surrounding the station earlier today after a suspicious package was found.

The all clear was given after police say it turned out to be a UPS package that was jammed into a mail box at the station. The package was too big to actually fit into the box and it was hanging out.

Train service was not affected.
