Jones Beach lots filled to capacity on Day 2 of Bethpage Air Show

The parking lots at Jones Beach quickly filled to capacity Sunday as droves of people came out to catch Day 2 of the Bethpage Air Show.

Thick fog that sprung up in the afternoon forced the Blue Angels to cut their performance short, but the show otherwise went off without a hitch.

State parks officials say more than 450,000 people visited the beach over the past three days.

The parking lots were also filled to capacity on Saturday and were closed to additional cars around noon. People had been urged to get to the beach early to avoid missing out on the fun.
