Water has been restored to homes affected by a water main break in Oceanside.
The break occurred at Lawrence and Virginia avenues around 1 p.m. Tuesday.
American Water Company says 15 homes were affected by the break, which left a portion of the street caved in.
The company says the pipe that broke is cast iron and from 1956. It's the second water main of that type to break in Oceanside in just over a week.
The utility company says it is already in the process of replacing miles of aging water mains.
