Ride for Life: Chris Pendergast, of Miller Place, makes 19th Ride for Life to fight ALS
For 19 years, a Miller Place man has taken his mission to fight ALS out into Long Island streets. 
This year, Chris Pendergast started his "Ride for Life" in Riverhead, going all the way to Manhattan to raise money and awareness for the deadly disease. 
News 12 Long Island's Elizabeth Hashagen and Brian Jingeleski take a look at how a new generation is adding to this amazing journey.
This year, money raised on the "Ride for Life" went to fund a study on ALS at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
The Ride for Life also funded its first-ever drug trial in Patchogue!
