Teen accused of selling drugs near elementary school
Police say a teen was arrested Friday for allegedly selling drugs out of a Patchogue home that is just down the road from an elementary school.
Detectives say an undercover detective purchased oxycodone at the Holbrook Street home four times following numerous tips and complaints of alleged drug dealing. They executed a search warrant at the home on Friday, and police say they arrested 19-year-old Tristan Corwin.
Authorities say they seized 30 amphetamine and dextroamphetamine pills, 20 grams of marijuana and $750 in cash, plus scales and drug paraphernalia, cellphones, a heat sealer and an imitation pistol.
Corwin is facing a slew of charges, including four counts of criminal sale of a controlled susbtance, a felony, and four counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. Authorities say Corwin's home is located less than 250 feet from Canaan Elementary School.
