At least five fire departments responded to a fire at a West Babylon furniture business Tuesday afternoon.
The fire started just before 1:30 p.m. Chopper 12 was above the scene as thick, black smoke billowed from Embassy Dinettes on Wyandanch Avenue.
The building began to crumble amid the intense heat and flames. Firefighters fought the flames from cherry pickers and from the ground.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
