A long standing eyesore in Middle Island is finally gone this morning.
Crews demolished the vacant Kmart on Middle Country Road that has been standing empty for nearly a decade.
As News 12 has reported, over the weekend the body of a man was found in the woods behind the building.
There are no definite plans on what will happen to the property.
