The jury has asked for clarification on the charges against an accused drunken driver charged in the death of a Nassau police officer.
James Ryan is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide in the death of Officer Joseph Olivieri in 2012.
Prosecutors say Ryan caused two crashes on the Long Island Expressway in North Hills. They say after Officer Olivieri responded, he was hit and killed by another driver. That driver was not charged.
The jurors sent a note to the judge seeking more clarification on three of the charges against Ryan.
The jury will continue deliberations Thursday morning.
