3 cases of Zika confirmed in Suffolk County

There are now three confirmed cases of Zika virus in Suffolk County.
There are now four cases on Long Island - all of which were contracted by someone traveling outside the country.
According to doctors, Zika is primarily spread through mosquito bites. However, now health officials confirm it can be sexually transmitted.
The virus is being linked to birth defects in newborns, resulting in babies being born with abnormally small heads, resulting in severe developmental issues.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has activated its highest emergency level due to the Zika threat.
President Barack Obama is requesting emergency funding to help fight the spread of the virus domestically and in Latin America, where it is most prevalent.
