Stew Leonard's announced Thursday that it will open a second Long Island store in East Meadow.

The 70,000-square-foot store will be located at the East Meadow Mall, which will be renamed Stew Leonard's Marketplace.

Construction will begin this summer. It is expected to open in 2017.

The so-called "Disneyland of Dairy Stores" is famous for their animatronic cows and roosters, as well as their butcher shop and seafood bar.

"Our family is very excited. We were thrilled with our store opening in Farmingdale and it encouraged us to expand on Long Island. We have had a warm reception from the town officials," said Stew Leonard, Jr., in prepared remarks.
