A Manhattan real estate developer was slapped with a 13-count indictment Monday in the 2015 death of his friend in Sag Harbor.

Sean Ludwick is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide, vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident, among other crimes.

Prosecutors say Ludwick, 42, was drunk behind the wheel back in August when he crashed his Porsche into a pole on Rolling Hill Court East in Sag Harbor. His passenger, Paul Hansen, was killed in the crash.

Ludwick allegedly removed Hansen's body from his vehicle and left it on the side of the road, just feet from Hansen's house.

Prosecutors say Ludwick then drove another quarter of a mile on two tires, until his damaged car stalled on Woodvale Street.

"The defendant, in the most coldhearted fashion, removed Hansen's body from the car, laid him out on the street, and fled as far as that car would take him," said John Scott Prudenti, of the Suffolk DA's Office. "He fled until he could flee no more."

Ludwick allegedly tossed Hansen's belongings into the woods and tried to cover up the crime.

Ludwick refused a Breathalyzer at the scene, but police say his blood alcohol level was 0.18 four hours after the crash, which is more than double the legal limit.

In court Monday, Ludwick's attorney, Benjamin Brafman, described it as a "very sad case," but added, "There's a difference between a homicide and an accident that results in a person's death."

Hansen's heartbroken relatives spoke to News 12. He was described as loving and a "tremendous friend."

"I want justice to be served and that we can, you know, the children and wife can move on," said Susan Hansen Morrissey, the victim's sister.

If convicted, Ludwick faces 32 years in prison.
