Car owner: Mechanic damaged new car during joyride in West Islip
A Levittown car owner is furious and his new car damaged after he says a mechanic took it for a joyride.
Joe Fradella, the owner of the Chrysler 300, says dash cam video shows a mechanic from Atlantic Chrysler in West Islip driving his car aggressively down Sunrise Highway at nearly 100 miles an hour.
The incident occurred back in July when Fradella took his car in for a routine service check.
On the video, the mechanic also allegedly stops at his apartment a few miles from the dealership.
Fradella says he noticed the damage to the bumper when the car was returned.
Atlantic says the mechanic has been disciplined.
