Police say a driver in Hempstead lost control of a vehicle and slammed into a school bus Tuesday morning.
The accident happened on Baldwin Road. Police say the bus was stopped, but a driver on the other side of the road lost control and crashed into the back of the bus.
The bus was carrying five children and one adult to Grace Lutheran in Malverne.
The kids and the adult were taken to the hospital for observation. No one else was injured in the crash.
The driver of the car was issued several tickets for equipment violations.
