Sean Avery arrested in Southampton on drug charge

A former New York Rangers agitator Sean Avery was arrested last week during a traffic stop in Southampton.
Police say Avery was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. They say he was initially pulled over for throwing objects at passing cars, which may have been speeding in his neighborhood.
Authorities say he had oxycodone pills on him at the time of the traffic stop. He is due back in court next month.
Avery took to Twitter to respond to his arrest, posting a picture on his account which appears to show his prescription list. It includes acetaminophen and oxycodone.
Avery tweeted, "Pretty disgusting I even have to do this but unfortunately it's the same old story. Have fun with this one."
