3 accused of running sweepstakes scam on LI

Police say three East End residents are accused of running a sweepstakes scam targeting senior citizens.

According to police, Ana Leon, of East Hampton, her sister Sandra and Ivan Pelaez are accused of scamming seven seniors out of nearly $700,000.

Investigators say they'd tell victims they won millions in a sweepstakes.

According to police, the trio would tell the seniors they had to send money for "taxes and fees" to East Hampton, Amagansett, Hampton Bays or Manhattan.

All three face up to 20 years if convicted.
