Car crashes through guardrail, overturns on Southern State Parkway

A serious car crash shut down lanes on the Southern State Parkway in Bellmore early Sunday morning.



The crash happened just after 12 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Route 106.



Officials say the car went through the guardrail and came to rest upside-down.



Exits 24 and 25 were shut down for hours as officials investigated and crews cleared the scene.



The cause of the crash remains unclear.



State police say no one was seriously injured.
