LIRR: Expect extra crowds during pope visit

The pope will be in New York City tomorrow, and many use the Long Island Rail Road to commute, which could cause crowds and congestion on the trains.
Officials are telling commuters to expect crowds flocking to the city to see the pontiff on Thursday and Friday.
LIRR spokesman Sal Arena tells News 12 that tomorrow the LIRR will have normal peak service in the morning.
In addition, the LIRR says extra trains will be added for the off-peak hours.
Officials are urging customers to purchase their tickets in advance to prevent any overcrowding.
