Newsday: Union rejects proposal from bus company

News 12 Long Island has learned that the possible school bus strike that we have been reporting could now be imminent.
According to Newsday, union leaders have unanimously rejected a contract proposal from the bus company.
The union says they plan to put the matter to a vote of its entire membership.
However, the union is calling for more talks with a federal mediator.
There's been no reaction from the bus company Bauman and Sons.
Any strike could affect thousands of school kids across the island.
