The owner of a liquor store in Setauket says his surveillance cameras caught a thief in action Saturday.

The owner says the man stole a $1,700 bottle of Chateau Petrus wine from an aisle shelf in his store, Hamlet Liquors.

Police say the incident was reported at around 5:34 p.m.

The alleged thief is between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall, according to the store owner. He allegedly left with a female accomplice in a black Jeep Cherokee.
