Man shot, killed in Wyandanch home

A 27-year-old man was found shot to death inside his Wyandanch home Friday morning.

Police say they got a 911 call at around 3:30 a.m. about a possible shooting on South 29th Street.

Authorities say Tehron Sims was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sims' family members told News 12 that he grew up in Amityville, and recently opened a clothing store in Deer Park. They say he had recently returned from a trip to Disney World with his 7-year-old son.

Police say it was not a domestic incident, and it does not appear to have been a random shooting.

Investigators are trying to determine how the shooter got into the home. They say other people were alseep in the home at the time, but were not injured.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
