News 12 Long Island has learned that a Connetquot School District teacher was arrested last month.
Police say high school teacher Eric Sweet, of Westhampton, was found unconscious and slumped over the wheel of a car that was still in drive.
The incident happened in the McDonald's parking lot on Route 25-A in Wading River.
Detectives say the 36-year-old had a controlled substance and a hypodermic instrument.
The district says the alleged incident happened on Mr. Sweet's personal time and without connection to the district.
It's not clear if he is still employed by the school.
