2 skydivers collide in midair over Calverton

Two skydivers are recovering after they collided in midair over Calverton.

Riverhead police say Kevin Arcamona, of Island Park, and Patricia Baronowski, of East Farmingdale, were involved in the accident in the skies above Skydive Long Island.

They say Arcamona was in free-fall when his knee hit Baranowski in the head, knocking her unconscious.

Baranowski's parachute was automatically activated and she landed in a tree.

Both are expected to be OK.
