11 arrested at DWI checkpoint in Patchogue

Police say they arrested 11 drivers at a sobriety checkpoint overnight in Patchogue. The checkpoint was set up on Sunrise Highway at Waverly Avenue. A total of 651 cars passed through the checkpoint.

11 arrested at DWI checkpoint in Patchogue
Police say they arrested 11 drivers at a sobriety checkpoint overnight in Patchogue.
The checkpoint was set up on Sunrise Highway at Waverly Avenue. A total of 651 cars passed through the checkpoint.
Those arrested for driving while intoxicated have been identified as Francine Anzalone, 55, of Holbrook; Richard Bocklet, 59, of Islip; Danny Hernandez, 53, of Patchogue; George Ghossn, 54, of East Islip; Kenneth Lindsay, 60, of Central Islip; Leo Skorupski, 32, of Massapequa Park; Emily Torrez, 21, of Islip Terrace; Pil Young Yoo, 40, of St. James; and Heather Yutesler, 35, of Patchogue.
Two people were charged with driving while ability impaired. They were identified as Heriberto Gonzalez, 37, of Brentwood; and Kristine Schultz, 35, of North Massapequa.
One car was also seized.
Police are warning drivers that there will be checkpoints set up across both Nassau and Suffolk counties this Labor Day weekend.
