Wounded Marine escorted during fundraising bike run

A 27-mile bike run from upstate to Hempstead on Saturday honored wounded Marine Corps Sgt. Eddie Ryan.
The ride, organized by New York Wounded Vet Run, included hundreds of bikers who escorted Ryan during the trip.
Ryan was assigned to the Reaper 6 Sniper Unit when he was shot in the head while on a rooftop in Ramadi, Iraq. He was in grave condition, but managed to pull through.
Eddie's father, Chris Ryan, says it hasn't been easy, but that the money raised from the fundraiser will certainly help.
"We're paying nurses and home health care aides to help us out. That's what this money will go for," says Chris Ryan.
