A man convicted of strangling and mutilating a 13-year-old girl is up for parole.
Robert Golub is serving 25 years to life for the murder of Kelly Ann Tinyes.
Tinyes' body was found stuffed in the closet of his Valley Stream home in 1989.
Golub was 21-years-old then, now he is 48 and up for parole.
Kelly Ann's dad says he wants to make sure Golub is never released from prison.
Richard Tinyes is asking Long Islanders to sign an online petition opposing Golub's parole.
So far 4,000 people have signed it.
