Police: Man led officers on chase with kids in car

A Southold man is accused of leading police on a high-speed chase with his two children in the car.

Police say 22-year-old Victor Perez turned off his headlights and ran a red light on New Suffolk Avenue early Saturday morning.

He then sped through stop signs and made erratic turns, reaching 90 mph.

Perez eventually crashed into a farm field and was arrested.

Police say Perez had marijuana in his car.
