Marine from LI found dead at Camp Lejeune

News 12 Long Island has learned that a United States Marine from Long Island has been found dead at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina.



Officials say the body of Lance Cpl. Ricardo Rodriguez Jr. was found early Friday.



Rodriguez was rushed to the hospital, but did not survive.



The 25-year-old is a Lindenhurst native and recently returned from an assignment in Africa.



Rodriguez was also deployed to Afghanistan in 2013.



There is no word on how he died.



Rodriguez is the second Marine to die at Camp Lejeune in a two-day period.
