Man charged in 2 dry cleaner burglaries

A Plainview man is charged with burglarizing two different dry cleaners hours apart.

Rafael Sanchez, 24, was arrested Monday and is accused of breaking into Melody Dry Cleaners on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow last September.

Investigators say cash, clothing and computers were taken at 1:30 a.m.

Investigators also say that about five hours later, Sanchez allegedly crawled through an exhaust duct to get into Pampers Cleaners on Plainview Road.

Sanchez was arraigned Tuesday on burglary charges. A second suspect is still at large.
