Montauk woman struck by vehicle in crosswalk

A Montauk woman was struck by a vehicle while crossing Montauk Highway early Friday morning.



The victim was hit while in the crosswalk near South Elder Street.



News 12 is told that the driver didn't see the 32-year-old pedestrian because he was blinded by the sun.



The victim was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital. She is in critical condition.



The driver is not facing any charges.
