Police say a registered sex offender in Inwood has been arrested again after child pornography was discovered in his possession.
Levorn Mays Jr., 25, was out on bail when he was arrested Wednesday morning inside his Smith Street apartment. It was his third arrest. Detectives seized several tablets from the residence.
Prosecutors say Mays uploaded 70 child porn files to his Dropbox account and used Gmail to send others. Authorities say some of the files include videos of toddlers and young girls.
Court records show that Mays was first arrested on child porn charges in 2009. He pleaded guilty, served four months in jail and was given 10 years of probation.
While on probation, the sex offender was arrested again in March 2015 on similar charges.
Mays is currently being held on the latest federal child porn charges against him.
